Human: Fall Flat is a physics puzzle platformer built around a deceptively simple premise: drag your arms to interact with the world, figure out what each level is asking you to do, and get there by whatever means the physics allow. The arm control is the game’s central joke and its most interesting design choice simultaneously. You hold grab to latch onto objects or ledges; your arms follow your controller inputs or mouse movement. Pulling a lever requires actually pulling it. Climbing a wall requires finding handholds and dragging yourself up. Operating a mechanism with two hands requires thinking about where both hands are. The imprecision is intentional, it is the source of most of the comedy and a surprising amount of the satisfaction when something finally works.

The physics interact honestly with the puzzle designs: a solution that should not work will often work anyway if the momentum is right, and the game does not punish this. Creative and unconventional approaches are rewarded by the engine simply letting them succeed.
