Why the Activision account matters

Call of Duty ties progression, unlocks and cross-play identity to an Activision account rather than to a single console. Content redeemed on that account is available wherever the account signs in, provided the game itself is owned on that platform.

This is also why these codes are redeemed on the web rather than in a console store. The destination is the account, not the platform.

Redeeming

Sign in to the Call of Duty website with the Activision account, open the redemption page and enter the code. The content is attached to the account and appears in-game on next launch.

Redemption is permanent and applies to the account signed in at the time. Content cannot be moved to a different Activision account afterwards.

Before you buy

Confirm the code is intended for the title and platform the account actually plays, and check the region stated in the product title. Neither can be changed after redemption.
