The Microsoft Store on Windows shares an account with Xbox, so a game bought here lands on the same Microsoft account a player uses on console. For titles that support it, that means one purchase covers both places.
What we stock here
- Windows Store games. PC titles redeemed against a Microsoft account and installed through the Microsoft Store on Windows.
One account across Windows and Xbox
Because Windows and Xbox sign in to the same Microsoft account, the library and any account balance are shared. A title marked as supporting cross-device play is available on both without buying twice.
Not every title carries that support. Where a game is Windows only, the licence stays on PC even though the account is the same one used on console.
Redeeming
Codes are entered through the Microsoft Store on Windows, or through a browser signed in to the account. The title is added to the account library permanently.
Redemption applies to whichever account is signed in and cannot be transferred afterwards, so check the active account before entering a code.
Before you buy
Check the region stated in the product title against the Microsoft account, and confirm the system requirements on the listing. Neither can be resolved after activation.
